Auterion welcomes Romeo Durscher to the team

When we learned that Romeo Durscher would be leaving 大疆创新, we wondered where he would end up. Hopeful that he would not be leaving the 无人机行业 altogether we are glad to report that Romeo has joined Auterion as the company’s new Vice President of Public Safety.

Romeo Durscher will help Auterion to bring their open-source Drone Software platform to the world of 急救人员. ​Given Romeo’s experience and network in that part of the drone industry, he will be a valuable asset to Auterion.

In a press release Auterion says that in his new role, Romeo will lead the strategy and go-to-market for Auterion’s suite of products for the Public Safety market. First responders will be able to take full advantage of the customization and flexibility available with Auterion’s easy-to-use platform and fast-growing ecosystem of NDAA compliant drone manufacturers and independent software vendors.

Auterion’s open-source ecosystem provides first responders with transparent, secure, and configurable solutions that improve over time” said Romeo Durscher on joining Auterion. “For users to realize the full potential of their drone systems they need greater choice and flexibility. Auterion is known for providing enterprise and government with an ecosystem of software-defined drones, payloads, and third party applications within a single easy-to-use platform based on open-source standards. The company has about 60+ employees in various offices in 加利福尼亚州, Switzerland和 Germany and its customer base includes companies such as GE Aviation, Quantum Systems, Freefly Systems, Avy, and the 美国政府. Another former DJI employee who recently left the world’s largest drone maker and now works for Auterion is Cynthia Huang. Like Romeo, Cynthia brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in the energy section of the drone industry.
